For the longest time when I put my head on the pillow at night I didn't realize that I wasn't actually resting my head against it. I was so wound up that I was hovering just above it thinking I was relaxing. Now I slow down, put the thoughts of the past out of my head and rejoice in the day I just lived, the people I interacted with and laughed with. I love my days. I don't let the past keep my head hovering above the pillow any more. I breathe deep and exhale a few times as I let the pillow caress the side of my head. I love to be breathing. Just let it go and enjoy your days SG.

The older I get the more angry I become!
by Sour Grapes ini did some self-reflection today trying to determine why, with every passing day, i become angrier against the watchtower company.
i am in my 70's and my health is failing.
at first, i thought it was because "worldly" people couldn't care less about jdubs and the little world they live in even though the witlesses think that the earth revolves around them and their desert god who was originally worshipped by the cainites.

An honest look at the situation
by Formerbrother ini was brought up in the truth.
i saw a lot unchristian things going on in my local body of elders, my dad was an elder and waiting outside elders meetings to go home with my mum and other wives, we sometimes heard raised voices in the 2nd school.
the other mums would raise their voices as well thinking of something to say to hide the elders 'private' arguments.. my dad hated it all, i think he hated having to keep things secret from my mum and me.. anyway, i got baptised, and as we did back then didnt think about further education but instead pioneered.

It is amazing how much healing from the cult mindset can take place in such a short time if you are open to it. Look forward and make honest choices that validate who you really are. Set and example and be loving in a way your children would never know in the organization, unselfish and without a conditional agenda. You can do this. Get going! All the best.

Armageddon started...
by mikeflood injust joking i really don't think so...but the situation in syria is pretty worrisome...just hearing the news that france and great britain are attacking with cruise missiles in 72 hours.
i mean assad is not gonna gasify his adversaries when he almost won the civil war.
trump too suspended a very important trip to the latinoamerican presidents summit in peru, just to 'oversee the american response to syria.

Even if war starts there, would this be something new? Not really. Its been one after another since man could throw a rock. Bigger Rocks I know, but rocks all the same.

What is CT Russell's motive?
by sinboi inwhat is russell's motive when he started examining the bible with a group of bible students?

Russell was approx 9 years old when the civil war began. His mother would have died four months before. Over 300,000 Pennsylvanian men died in the Civil War, Gettysburg being only 195 miles from his home. What are the odds that he knew many men/neighbors who died in that war. If he had such an inquiring mind I'm sure he wondered where they had all gone when they died. Then at the end, Lincoln gets gunned down. Would he have wondered why such a "good" man who saved the union went? He would have been 13 or so by then. Could he have been one of those who rode out to watch battles as a boy?
His bio says he was disillusioned by the creeds of Christendom. I can imagine why. What kind of answers did the Presbyterian and Congregational ministers give him when he asked why and where had all these dead men laying in the fields go? Sincere then a victim of his own success.

I was raised around the "Truth" for the first 16 years. At 16 it was all about the guilt. I couldn't measure up to who and what a witness was. I left because I was a normal 16 year old with urges and desires and opinions. After 11 years out I had satisfied most of those and the guilt once again kicked in and I sought redemption for being unworthy. What a mess I was. After 22 years back in the Tower I awoke to see it wasn't me who had the problem. Hell, look at these deviants, they are afraid you'll commit fornication with your pillow!

Your husband was DF'd 3 years ago? Is he not in your life anymore? I am wondering why there is no one who is available as your friend if you are married.
It helps not to attend any meetings or read any of that Watchtower drivel.
Finding like minded people can really help. If you have autistic kids that must add to that despair. You need emotional support and understanding. There must be a support group. Stop thinking that people only want to take from you. That can be true with anyone, in or out of the Org. Building trust takes time. You just have to use the same good sense that woke you up. If the autistic group are depressing, find another group of some sort.
